Jaclyn Hill Expert Beauty Box Review

I have had these babies for at least a few weeks now, and I looooove them. Every single one of the brushes are gorgeous and soft and flawlessly apply the makeup to help pull off any look you want to achieve.
.

...
....
........
PS, that is me having a moment of silence for how amazing these brushes are for just like 7 seconds.
Seriously. This was my first ever high end makeup brush purchase and let me just say they were well worth the $80. I purchased the Jaclyn Hill expert beauty box (it is no longer available :( FYI... sorry) but it came with all of the basic brushes one would need for their everyday routine.
If you don't know who Jaclyn Hill is, click the link and check her out on YT, she cracks me up and is simply amaze balls.

The expert box came with 7 brushes, all of which are available to purchase separately on their site sigmabeauty.com
- F80 Flat Top Kabuki brush aka my all time favorite foundation brush
-F86 Tapered Kabuki, really good for under eye concealer or also good for getting foundation in the hard to reach spots on your face
-F35 Tapered Highlighter, perfect for well... Highlighting your face of course :)
-E25 Blending, really good for blending, especially if you do a smokey eye, it helps to smoke it out to give a more sultry and edgy "I woke up like this" look. Lol
-E40 Tapered blending, though I wish this brush was a bit shorter for better control, but I love it nonetheless
-E55 Eye Shading, perfect for applying that all over lid color and fast, since it is wider it covers a bigger surface area!
AND
-E30 Pencil, love love love love this for the finishing touches, whether it is touching up and darkening your crease to give more depth or finishing up with putting color into lower lash line.... This baby does it all..... and well

Love em, love em all. They are so soft and fluffy, and like I mentioned before, well worth the moolah! Also I believe Sigma is having a 20% off Memorial Day sale that lasts until Memorial Day, so if you were looking to purchase these, get on it and save while you are at it!

Until next time beauties,

It's been way too long!

Howdy lovelies!

I realize that it has been forever and a day since I last posted here... 2 months and 2 days to be exact but who was counting?

I had tons and tons of inspiration for blogs posts once I first started and then I just started slacking and thinking they weren't as interesting as I thought they would be.. SO I am back, blogging is a great stress reliever because its your domain where you can be you and the people who read your blog love you for it.

Today I figured I would talk about a few Spring trends I am digging right now with the bout of nice Spring weather finally coming to us Midwest and East Coasters.

Oddly enough I have yet to make it out shopping to buy anything in honor of the warmer weather because I guess I never figured it would come about or something?
Anyways, here it is. (click the links after every one to see some of my picks for each category)

1). WHITE.
Or any close variation of it really... I have no idea what it is, but as of today I have started my search for the PERFECT white top. Obviously everything goes with white and it is so versatile and crisp and clean. Blouses, skirts, dresses, sandals, jewlery, you name it, im kind of obsessed with it rn (that's right now in text speak for all of you not-with-the-timers :P)

2). COOL SWEATSHIRTS.
Now I know it is Spring and we are supposed to start breaking out all of the warm weather stuff, but I have checked out my Nordstrom online shopping bag and realized there are tons of cool sweatshirts in there... Its ridiculous.. Not to mention most of them HAPPEN to be black. Black is slimming... Judge me.

3). PASTELS.
My nails right now are legit the brightest shade of lavender EVARRR. But I love it.. And yes it will probably be different tomorrow.. But pastels are love this season. Just pure unadulterated love y'all. Can I pull them off this season? We. Shall. See.

4). STATEMENT PIECES.
I am talking about those loud and BEAUTIFUL pieces that are almost always a conversation starter. Whether it be a bold statement necklace, or crazy bold (but tasteful) statement earrings, even bracelets, COUNT ME IN. I like it. I love it. I want some more of it!

5). CAGED. SANDALS.
If you have seen caged sandals, you love them. If you dont.... Well I dont know what planet you were born on but it was not our dear old planet earth here.. Nordstrom literally had a homepage in honor of the Caged Sandal. So you know its kind of a big deal.

Holy Grail Foundation

My absolute favorite foundation of ALL time.... Drum roll please.....Estée Lauder 'Double Wear' Stay-in-Place Liquid Makeup. (cue the gates of heaven opening up). I have used 2 of these in the last year and a half and have just popped open the 3rd bottle whilst getting ready for a date last night. I've tried 3 million and 1 foundations and until I purchased this, I didn't truly know what love was. I'm not exaggerating!

This baby DOES NOT crease, clog your pores, has a flawless matte finish (I still use translucent powder to finish sometimes since I have oily skin), doesn't come off when you sweat (which may be gross depending on who you are. LOL), it just doesn't move while still letting your skin shine through and does not cake. And if you happen to have fallen asleep with it on the previous night, you wont wake up with makeup and zits all over the place. They say money can't buy love...... But $37 + tax bought me this and I LOVE IT!!!

Used my last one until the absolute last drop waiting for my new bottle to come in the mail from Nordstrom. Hahaha. The color I wear is 6W1 Sandalwood and it's kinda sorta totally spot on for my skin. From the description it has a 15 hour staying power and is good for all skin types! Order it up!

5 stars alllllllll the way.

A little slice o' heaven!

So... I splurged again.. I am thinking that these blogs are going to make me more self aware of the fact that I may or may not need to go to SA (Shopaholics Anonymous). I bought a pair of Hunter rain boots!

I have only been dying over them for the last forever and even more so when I saw all of the cute outfits paired with them whilst looking for inspiration on Pinterest... Hunter Boot Syle Board :)- CLICK ME!

If you went to the link and are as obsessed with cute style and fashion as I am, you too probably thought that  your next splurge was going to be a pair of these babies. And if not, dont worry, you wont hurt my feelings. I  still love them!

I bought them in the color Feather Blue from Nordstrom (which are no longer available as of now :( FYI).. But there are a TON of other fab colors I am sure you will find and  like.

These babies are mine! Though this picture doesnt so much do the color justice because they are a lot prettier and lighter shade of blue in person. But good news! There may still be hope as they are on sale on the actual Hunter site!

Eventually I will do a style/fashion/OOTD post with these lovers on. One CON though, I have really skinny ankles and regular sized calves and they wear kind of funny at first. But I will be getting my new welly socks here soon so I will have to test them out when I get those and see if that CON will still be one.

My next venture will probably be the short ones! Until next time beaus, au revoir!

Let's Get Naked... 2!

So.......... I have splurged! I finally took the plunge and purchased a Naked palette.. The Naked 2 to be exact (thanks to my awesome Sephora gift card my mom got me for Christmas!). I've ony used it once and I think I may already be obsessed! Verve is one of my favorites and Half Baked too, of course. I did an ADORABLE smokey eye with it the other day but didnt capture it in a photo to show you all. I will have to recreate it and show you. But until then, here lies the very first photo of my new baby, which I sent to my mom and posted to Instagram with the hashtag #iminlove about 5 minutes after walking out of Sephora.
I have this crazy obsession with eyeshadow palettes so I am always buying them (I mean, how could you not?!)...

I was hoping to get the Naked 3 but they were all out, so I got the next best thing. I think one of the only CONS that I can think of right now is that there are only 3 fully matte colors out of the whole 12 color palette (Foxy, Tease, and Blackout).

Let me know what you all think in the comment section below! Do/did you like it, do you hate it (if so, what about it is not totally stellar), and how does it  measure up in comparsion to the first and third editions?!? I am curious because I have yet to purchase the other ones. Also leave some suggestions on some other holy grail shadow palettes you own. Looking forward to reading them! :)

Thanks for reading! And until next time... Ciao bellas!

Patience is a virtue... Just saying

Things are coming along nicely as I am hoping you lovelies can tell... This girl is slowly but surely mastering HTML coding, photoshop, web design, etc. Though my perfectionism is getting the best of me and I am getting frustrated. I am determined to make it the best so that my readers can enjoy what I have to say with ease. Thanks for being patient! And again..... Stay tuned, beautifuls! )
